Popular e-tailer ASOS.com has launched a new brand, ASOS Africa which falls under their new initiative, The Green Room – a new online marketplace merging brands that promote people and the world. The ASOS Africa capsule collection (which is in conjunction with SOKO Kenya) will consist of several chic silhouettes such as blazers, jumpsuits and playsuits, cropped trousers all using African Kanga. Kanga is a vividly colored printed cotton fabric that is traditionally worn by men and women throughout Eastern Africa. The collection will also begin to incorporate accessories as well as organic hand-crocheted tees and vests embellished with brass beading. What do you think of the collection so far Clutchettes?

    these are nice, but they’re not that unique. honestly, go to new york, d.c., houston, lagos,accra etc. buy your own cloth from the many african cloth stores in any of those cities, and have someone sew you your own clothes. they’ll be custom fitted and one of a kind!
