Clutch: Describe your style in 5 words.
Joi: Comfortable, Eclectic, Inspired, Unique and Unconventional.

Clutch: You’re running late for class/work, what do you throw on?
Joi: Honestly, whatever is clean and (at least mostly) wrinkle-free. I accessorize and make it work!

Clutch: Which designers do you covet the most?
Joi: I have a few vintage Halston, Gucci and Louis Vuitton pieces that I inherited from my grandmother who owned a consignment shop.

Clutch: What are your staple items?
Joi: Textured stockings, flirty dresses, elaborate jewelry, leather jacket and lots of bracelets.

Clutch: What are some of your top places to go shopping? NYC and beyond?
Joi: My favorite shopping destination is Amsterdam – fun European designs at a fraction of the cost.

Clutch: How does your work inform your style?
Joi: I am an actress at heart, and all the world’s a stage! I use clothing to express my mood and whatever character I choose to play that day. I think of clothing as a form of engagement with the world. As an artist I recognize the importance of creation and creativity.

Clutch: If we were to take a look inside your clutch what would we find?
Joi: Theatre for the Free People wristbands, business cards, “The Game of Life” by Florence Scovel Shin, lipgloss, flip-mino HD camera, and iPhone.
