Singer Mary J. Blige joins other artists like Fantasia who have recently earned their GED. The 39-year-old superstar announced Wednesday, July 2 during her performance on ABC’s “Good Morning America” in New York City that she will join the Howard University Class of 2014 earning her Bachelors degree. No information on where the singer will take classes or her major of choice.

Mary J. Blige also joins Carol’s Daughter Founder Lisa Price for her “My Life” fragrance launch at the Essence Festival in New Orleans!

    It’s a good thing to continue your education but how does a person with just a GED get into Howard U. My Neighbor’s son went to a private school and scored well on his SAT and barely got into Howard. sounds like Mary should be at a junior college.
