As if it weren’t already bad enough that one of our Tuesday night guilty pleasures—“The Rachel Zoe Project”—recently had its season finale, we’ve just caught wind of some other big changes at the RZ camp. Rachel’s right-hand cutie, Style Director, and second-husband (I’m sure Roger would agree), Brad Goreski, has decided to part ways with the company. The split, which was done very tastefully and on peaceful terms, will take effect on October 1st.  He tells People Magazine:

“I love Rachel and she’s taught me everything I know. . . . But there’s a point where either I do it now or I’ll never know what it’s like to spread my wings and soar.”

This doesn’t come as much of a surprise to me; if you watched the season finale you could tell that Brad (and everyone else) was becoming quite frustrated with Rachel’s unwavering obsession with her career and refusal to take a breather and enjoy a semi-normal personal life. We wonder how she’s dealing with everything, especially after having lost her main assistant Taylor [sticky fingers] Jacobson earlier during the season. Without doubt, she’s somewhere curled up in a white plush robe, holding a coffee mug bigger than her entire body, telling poor Roger how “bananas” this all is. Perhaps it will be motivation for her to slow down a bit and think about starting a family. . . . We’re sure Brad will do well, though.

  • I’m surprised he’s departing so soon…still waiting for my prediction to take fruitrition…

  • Nooooooo, I’m so sad to hear Brad is leaving! While I agree with his reason for leaving, he was such a huge part of the show. Hopefully he will get a spin off to follow him on his new journey.

Brad is such a cutie!! The last few lines of this post made me giggle because I can totally picture Rachel with that Robe on wavy blonde locks and red lipstick staring into space “literally becoming undone”
