From Black Voices — R&B star Monica recently got engaged to Los Angeles Laker guard Shannon Brown.

The ‘Everything To Me’ singer confirmed the engagement on Twitter and posted a picture of her 10-carat diamond ring for fans to see.

“We realize people will have their opinions. That’s the way of the world. But we know who we are & who’s we are. We pray 2 an awesome God 2gether And that is what keeps us strong. In a farewell letter, she wrote:

i can understand quitting twitter, but she put herself and her business out there in the first place. and as an artist she should know that not everyone is going to have positive things to say… Best of luck to her and Shannon

Yet, she’s still there… Somebody tell her making your page private doesn’t make your twitpics private or stop replies from showing up.

  • That is kind of sad, she was one celebrity that I actually liked following on twitter. Congrats to her.
