How cool is our President?
Last night, some of music’s biggest stars hit the White House to celebrate the legacy of Motown Records.
The event, In Performance at The White House: The Motown Sound, honored the venerable record label and its founder Barry Gordy. Smokey Robinson, Jamie Foxx, John Legend, Ledisi, Sheryl Crow, Natasha Bedingfield, Seal, Jordin Sparks, and members of the cast of Glee were on hand to sing some of Motown’s biggest hits.
The event’s host, Jamie Foxx, had a little laugh at President Obama’s expense, mocking his dance moves and saying Obama couldn’t blame his lack of skills on his “black side.” As with everything, the President seemed to keep his cool and laughed off Foxx’s jokes in style.
The tribute to Motown will air Tuesday March 1st on PBS. Check your local listings.
