One-third of the Rock & Roll group The Noisettes, Shingai Shoniwa, approaches music with the same uniqueness that she evokes in her style.
The UK import first stole our hearts back in 2003 when she appeared on stage during her group’s performances in face paint while turning cartwheels. That kind of bold, innovative and playful style encompasses elements from all her varied fashion influences—Jimi Hendrix, Kate Bush, Grace Jones, and Josephine Baker—and somehow it meshes together seamlessly.
One commonality all her adventurous looks share is that they are flattering to her frame. The petite powerhouse loves to show off her mile-long legs in mini skirts, catsuits, dresses and jumpsuits accented with eclectic accessories, elaborate headpieces and imaginative hairstyles.
