Everyday many of us walk around professing our love for everything from shoes to cars to people’s tweets and those we care about. But are we just overusing the word or do we really love everything that much?

If you ask 100 people to define love, I promise, you’ll get 100 different answers. People may rattle off the standards, “Love is patient,” “love means never saying you’re sorry,” “God is love,” but do they really know what actively loving someone means?

We live in a very “what have you done for me lately” society and our perceptions of love tends to center on what others do for us or to us. At the same time, many of us are “unlucky” in love and are desperately seeking big, lasting, soul-stirring love.

But if you couldn’t pick love out of a lineup and have no idea what it is (or what it should be), is this even possible?

So Clutchettes and Gents…what does love mean to you?
