Though I am a wee bit too young to have watched The Cosby Show when it first aired, I fell in love with the show when it was on Nick at Night, and now old episodes on Centric TV. Even as a little girl I remember being memorized by Denise Huxtable’s style.

Played by the equally stylish Lisa Bonet, Denise was the funky older sister I never had. The way she rocked everything from oversized blazers and slouchy sweaters to harem pants and whimsical hats. How could you not admire her try-anything approach to Fashion?

Then, there were the accessories. She wore neon sunglasses, strands of pearls and pattern head wraps. She was the original bad girl (when it came to her style) before Rihanna could even coo “ella, ella, ella.” The ease at which she wore her bold accessories and menswear-inspired pieces was topped only by her cool hairdo!

Denise was the total 80’s dream girl and we can channel her funky style with these pieces:

1. DVF Steffie Tropical Rain Head Band
2. Silence and Noise Boyfriend Blazer
3. Vintage Kenzo Circle Frame Sunglasses
4. Vanilla Star Cargo Harem Women’s Skinny Pants
5. Dr. Martens Floral Boot

What do you think of Denise Huxtable’s style?
