Recently, Steve Harvey and Screen Gems announced that Harvey’s best-selling book, Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man, will be adapted for the big screen.

The book, which dolled out (*ehem* questionable) relationship advice to women on everything from “letting a man be a man” and how to get a ring from your boo, garnered Harvey tons of media buzz. He not only appeared on the Today Show, but Oprah allowed the comedian to grace her stage and give advice on two separate shows.

Although it remains unclear how the book will be adapted for the screen considering it did not follow a traditional narrative format, Deadline is reporting that Kevin Hart, “will play a self-professed relationship expert who is quick to give advice to his crew of friends, even as he watched his own marriage crater and head toward divorce.

Steve Harvey, Rushion McDonald and Rob Hardy will executive produce the film and it is scheduled to begin shooting this July.

What do you think, Clutchettes? Are you excited ‘Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man’ will be heading to the big screen?

If they can make ‘He’s Just Not That Into You’ into a movie then why not Steve’s book. I am kind of curious to see what this movie would be.

  • Mr. Man

How many times has this story been told, and from how many angles? Hey everyone look, Steve’s business plan.

Am I excited? HELL NO! This one will definitely be skipped in my household.

A movie in NYC is about what…$15 now? I’m not paying that kind of money to see anything by, about, for, or involving Steve Harvey. I might as well just throw my money in the garbage.

I know that men are one of two ways:

They can love a women so much they want to be with her for years or a lifetime. Or, a man can love the sex, the way a woman looks, or her boobs or behind, or etc and stay with her a long time and then get with her and not be satisifed and think she is working on my last nerve or that she is not what is goign to make me completely happy even if she makes me happy.

Then they have the women that they are head over heels in love with. Love to death, love so much they would die for them. The ones that rock their world their match the one that makes their heart sing and make them frisky every night and not just one or the other. LOL. They want to certify that woman and they would love her unconditionally. Even when things went rough or tragic they would still be there. That is real love and that is being in love that is what makes a happy in love relationship that leads to marriage.

Alot of people get with each ohter for the wrong reasons. Trying to put on a front for other people or getting with a woman they love like crazy. But, not the one they want to be with or havent found or need to love more than anything and be crazy in love with. That is why a lot relationships or some women that may even magically get a man to the alter when they love them but are not in love. People trying to live up to other people standards and not going for what they want. Or, people not finding hte one they truly truly want to spend the rest of the life with even if they find a close substitute. Its just like a woman getting with a guy that makes them feel safe but they really want the other guy and then find out that they have been forsaking or really unhappy with that man and wish they went after what they want though it may have never worked out.

That is the complexity of love! UH!
