Chioma Nnadi is a fashion editor and street style star that you should know. She mixes the vibrant flavor of her Nigerian roots with her time spent studying in the UK and her new digs in Brooklyn and the result is style magic.
Vogue.com chose Chioma as its newest subject for its “Five Days, Five Looks, One Girl” feature. She is a fashion writer for Vogue, thus the magazine did not have to go far to find her, but in the world of fashion where diversity is scarce, it is always wonderful to see a woman of color featured.
Chioma rocks a multitude of looks, showing that she is a true style chameleon. In the picture to the right, she is at the Shipley & Halmos studio getting a preview of the brand’s Resort 2012 collection. Her striped shirt is a hand-me-down from her male best friend from Comme des Garçons and it matches perfectly with her Norma Kamali skirt. Her necklace is from Vena Cava and her fabulous shoes are made by designer Chrissie Morris.
In her other looks, Chioma experiments with colorblocking inspired by Yves Saint Laurent and J.Crew, mixes camouflauge with a foliage-inspired skirt by Diane von Furstenberg, wears Gambian beaded bracelets gifted to her by her mother, poses in Park Slope and so much more.
