After years of busting sexual perverts and catching them in their worst moments, the cameras have literally turned on NBC anchor Chris Hansen.
According to The Daily Mail, the ‘To Catch A Predator’ host was caught cheating on his wife ironically enough with the help of National Enquirer’s hidden cameras. On the camera footage, Hansen, was seen on an illicit date with Kristyn Caddell, a 31-year old blonde television reporter from Florida. The two had dinner at the Ritz-Carlton in Manalapan, Florida before heading back to her apartment. The two were recorded having dinner that night and then leaving Caddell’s place the following morning at 8 A.M.
Sources say that Hansen has known Caddell since she was an intern at NBC. Though the Daily Mail’s source said the two shared an immediate psychical attraction, their affair allegedly stared in March of this year. The source told the British paper:
“Chris sends Kristyn flowers and tells her he loves her, but he still doesn’t seem all that motivated to leave his wife for her….He’s telling her he loves his wife too, but they’ve grown apart over the years and she’s not sure what he should do.”
The NBC anchor’s embarrassment will certainly now push Hansen’s wife and two sons into the spotlight. While his family lives in Connecticut, Hansen was in Florida on assignment investigating the disappearance of James “Jimmy T” Trindade, a boater who went missing between the Bahamas and South Florida in January 2006.
Hansen had been an anchor with NBC for nearly two decades but is best known for the Dateline series, “To Catch a Predator.” The controversial program caught sex offenders by tracing their illegal online actions and setting them up- often using sting operations, hidden cameras and police.
