In a world where beauty is held in such high esteem, it is always wonderful to come across a woman who has so much more to offer than just her good looks. Eugenia Silva is one of those women, being an international model and philanthropist, while also having a law degree.
Eugenia was born in Madrid, Spain into a family of jurists, thus it was also natural that she would pursue law. She obtained a degree in law from Madrid’s Complutense University, but before that she won the Elite Look of the Year Award, starting off her career in fashion and modeling.
Her big break came from her move to New York in which she was chosen to be the face of Oscar de la Renta, making her face known to people all around the world. She has appeared on the cover of more than 100 magazines internationally including Elle España, GQ, Shape and many more. Eugenia has walked in runway shows for the likes of Prada, Galliano, Jean Paul Gaultier, Carolina Herrera and countless others. This year she is the European face for Garnier, the face of Magnum Ice Cream Bars’ 20th anniversary and she currently has a blog for Elle España called My Lookbook.
On the philanthropy front, Eugenia is an ambassador for Fundación Plan, an NGO focused on improving the lives of children in Africa, Asia and Latin America. She hosts the annual Barcelona AIDS Gala each year and also does charity work for World Vision, Plan International and Doctors Without Borders. Eugenia is a natural beauty, usually opting for minimal makeup and letting her wavy hair rest in its natural state. She is a true example of a woman who is beautiful inside and out, with brains to match.
