I could start this off with a “End of The Road” pun, but I am too excited so I will just skip right to the point.
The iconic, classic baby making music making, posters on your wall during middle school Boyz II Men will be dropping a double album later this year in commemoration of the group’s 20th anniversary.
Forget Beyonce’s “4” or Alicia’s ten-year commemoration, Wanya Morris, Nathan Morris and Shawn Stockman will celebrate two decades of work with their upcoming album, aptly titled “Twenty.” The Grammy-winning group debuted their trademark Motown-Philly sound back in 1991 with their first album, “Cooleyhighharmony.” With hits like “End of the Road” and “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday, the group went on to become one of the biggest male groups of all time, keeping a loyal following through the years.
Speaking on getting back to the studio to record the upcoming album, Stockman said:
“We were so busy just working … we didn’t think too much about how it would impact the world, which is probably a good thing, because it kept us sharp and kept us focused, even to this present day. Looking back, it’s a great thing. It’s hard to talk about it because it’s something that we think it’s a great milestone in our careers, but we’re still hungry, and we still feel like we have so much more to contribute, musically and otherwise.”
There are no words left to say except- I cannot wait.
