Menswear designer John Varvatos chose supergroup The Roots, who he lauds as “one of the most innovative musical forces on the planet,” for his Fall 2011 campaign. The four-time Grammy-winning group boasts a jazzy and eclectic brand of hip hop which is a great fit for the menswear line’s refined classics with rockstar edge.
In blazers, military-style jackets, wide-brimmed fedoras and slim-cut denim, The Roots embody the John Varvatos aesthetic. The group also performed an original track during the Varvatos photoshoot at Republic Airport in New York.
