Another twist in one of the most disturbing, depressing sex abuse scandals of recent years: there was a fifth young man involved in the suit against Bishop Eddie Long, which claimed that the mega church had used his influence to prey on young male congregants. Centino Kemp may be the reason that Long decided to handle the matter out of court: he’s a glammed out recording artist who makes songs about sex and has Long’s name tattooed on his wrist. According to Atlanta Fox News I-Team reporter Dale Russell, a lawyer close to the case “confirmed Kemp was involved and was “different from the other young men,” “one piece of the puzzle that never fit,” and he made the case “more difficult.””
Difficult may have been an understatement. Russell reports that Kemp, now 22, was raised in the Bahamas and had been introduced to Long while visiting New Birth as a teenaged college student. When reporters caught up with members of the church, they found that those they spoke to belive this is all a plot to take down their beloved leader. One woman says she didn’t believe the story because she “looked it up.” Okay.
Chile…who’s Eddie gonna get to tithe her whole paycheck in a stack of ones to make this one go away?
