Fans who’d hoped Janet Jackson would participate in the October tribute concert for her late brother Michael were disappointed yesterday, as the youngest member of the Jackson clan has sided with brothers Jermaine and Randy in saying ‘no’ to the big show. The trio feel that the timing of the show-during the manslaughter trial of Conrad Murray-is inappropriate. Jackson said in a statement to CNN “Because of the trial, the timing of this tribute to our brother would be too difficult for me.”

“Michael Forever: The Tribute Concert” will play to an audience of up to 75,000 in Wales on October 8th. Beyonce is appearing via video; Ne-Yo, Leona Lewis, Smokey Robinson, Cee-Lo and Christina Aguilera will be performing live. CNN reports that the real stars of the show will be 3T, Tito Jackson’s three sons who had a record out back in the 90’s. Swag.

Who would you like to see perform at the concert? Who has what it takes to properly pay homage to MJ?
