Temperley London is in the virtual hot seat for their online description of a pair of dark tan pants, which they named “Latino leather trousers.”

I can only surmise that the company chose the description based on the color of the pants (dark tan) as there is no other feature of the pants that could tie it to the ethno-geographic group. The color connection is also troubling since Latinos come in a variety shades.

Do you think it is racist or offensive for an article of clothing to be named after an ethno-geographic group?
