Looks like Wendy Williams’ decision to transition from radio to TV was a wise one. On the air since July of ’08, The Hollywood Reporter announced that the Wendy Williams show has been renewed for two additional seasons through 2014 on Fox-owned stations. Perhaps it’s to be expected after 23 years of success on the radio waves.
With her recent segment on Beyonce’s collapsible baby bump, chat with Fantasia Barrino about the Mahalia Jackson movie rumors, and exclusive interview with Charlie Sheen – fresh off the hinges – did all but secure Williams longevity on the air waves. The Wendy Williams Show is considered a hit, particularly among women in the 25-54 age range in NY, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, DC, and more.

So in today’s climate where shows get canceled left & right, fans of Mz Williams can count on at least 2 more years of “Ask Wendy,” “Hot Topics,” and her opinionated take on controversial pop culture topics-du jour.
