A 60-year-old Chicago woman was charged with domestic battery Sunday after allegedly throwing cupcakes at her husband, hitting him in the head and chest.
According to the Chicago Sun Times, Dawn Montesdeoca and her 56-year-old husband, Arturo got into an argument when things got a little sticky–literally. During the argument Montesdeoca allegedly picked up a few party-sized cupcakes and threw them at her husband, leaving icing smeared on his face and shirt.
When police arrived, they claimed Montesdeoca used “a very aggressive tone” with them and they arrested her.
Montesdeoca’s husband told police he “feared for his safety,” however the Chicago Tribune found that he has also been arrested three times since 2003 on domestic battery and battery charges (all cases were eventually dropped).
Montesdeoca was charged with one count of misdemeanor domestic battery and released on $10,000 bail.
