After calling herself harajuku barbie, rocking multi-hued clothes and wigs,  and naming her stans, “Barbies,” looks like Nicki finally caught the eye of Mattel. The toy company recently announced that they’ve made made a limited edition Nicki Minaj Barbie doll.

The doll, available December 7, will be auctioned off for charity with a starting bid of $1000. The proceeds will benefit Project Angel Food, which provides meals for those living with HIV/AIDS.

A Mattel spokesperson released a statement about their collaboration with Nicki Minaj and explained why it makes perfect sense to partner with the over-the-top rapper.

“Barbie is obviously a pop culture icon. She’s been in the spotlight for over 50 years, and strikes that chord with girls of all ages in terms of being representative of the times. And Nicki is a big part of pop culture and also huge within the fashion industry, as well as a big Barbie fan. It’s really exciting for us that she’s been so generous to allow us to create this one-of-a-kind doll to support such an important cause.”

What do you think of the doll? Would you plunk down $1000 or more for a Nicki Minaj Barbie?
