Anyone’s who has ever been to a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese knows that it can get really annoying, really quickly. Anytime loud, screaming, sugared-up kids are running around, adults can become a bit on edge, but over the weekend things got seriously out of control and ended with a grandmother being beaten up.

At a birthday party on Sunday in Dearborn, Michigan, an unnamed grandmother was assaulted by a Chuck E. Cheese patron after she claims she asked him to stop swearing.

According to a local news affiliate, after the grandmother asked a man nearby to stop cursing while her grandchildren were nearby, he punched her repeatedly.

One of her family members recounts: “She said, ‘please don’t use that language with children.’ They told her to ‘shut the f— up and turn around.’ That’s when a man leapt at the table and started swinging. He punched her in the face and dragged her by her hair.”

The woman, who refused to give her name to reporters, said after she was assaulted, she ended up cowering under the table. She was later taken to the hospital and treated for her injuries, and police are investigating the case.

Unbelievable. I will never step foot in a Chuck E. Cheese again after this story. It’s scary to know that there is nothing a person can do about the language of others without getting to the point of assault. Management should be informed immediately in a situation like that without engaging in conflict with the offender. Times have definitely changed.

Curtis Mayfield wrote about how “the powers that be” will only protect their own. This works for all of us. If this world is going down for real, we only have ourselves to blame.
For us as a people to survive, there needs to be a new day where we make a stand.
Stand up and let it be known when you see something wrong. And color of skin does not need to be an issue. Whether a wrong is being inflicted upon a black, white, brown or yellow person, make your voice be heard, what is wrong is wrong.
This is our only chance to survive. Its not too late.

  • WAIT…they serve beer at Chuck E. Cheese??? WHY?! I’m not at all comfortable with a place that’s supposed to be for KIDS to be serving alcohol. Encouraging parents to drink and drive with their kids in the car…SMDH!!!

People fighting in front of their kids should be ashamed of themselves though and not just at Chuck E. Cheese but sports games too! It’s NEVER that damn serious that you gotta beat somebody up especially if they aren’t physically harming you first.

People need to get a grip, start meditating or something lol.
