Full disclosure: I didn’t start watching Real Housewives of Atlanta until Kandi Burress joined the cast. While sometimes I’m mad that I got into that show at all, I was such a huge Xscape fan back in the day that I couldn’t stay away from a show that would give me a peek into the life of one of its members (and I guess I’m over it because I’ve never watched anything involving Tiny).
At first, RHOA only scraped the surface of Kandi’s talent by showing all of the gold records and Grammys she earned by writing hits like TLC’s “No Scrubs” and Destiny Child’s “Bills, Bills, Bills.” That is, until she turned Kim Zolciak’s non-singing behind into a semi-one-hit-wonder with “Don’t Be Tardy for The Party.” Kandi Burress is sort of a miracle worker when it comes to music, and her new Bravo special The Kandi Factory will put her skill of turning wannabes into artists we don’t mind listening to. I really hope those two are pretending to be that horrible because if not, Kandi definitely has her work cut out for her with those two. Either way, it should be fun to watch!
The Kandi Factory airs on March 4.
