We are always on the lookout for the next hot fashion line with standout pieces. Allow me to introduce you to Autumn Adeigbo (pronounced A-dayg-b0, a Yoruba word meaning “the crown that is passed down”) the designer behind her eponymous women’s RTW collection.

The daughter of Nigerian immigrants, Adeigbo developed her love for fashion as a young girl watching her mother sew many of the dressed she wore to school. After receiving a degree in Economics from Spelman college, Adeigbo studied fashion at Parsons, the New School of Design, and worked for designers Betsey Johnson and Anna Sui. Adeigbo sharpened her aesthetic for high fashion by assisting stylists Andre Lieberman, Leslie Fremar and Rebecca Weinberg for a combined 7 years. Working under such revered fashion veterans, Adeigbo collaborated to create the public style persona of clients like Maggie Gyllenhall and Gwen Stefani and has created the visual fashion components for advertisements of companies like Crème de La Mer and Lancome. Also a budding humanitarian, Adeigbo sends a percentage of each piece’s sale back to the African Continent.

The world has taken notice to Adeigbo’s collections, with no publicist and as little as four looks in a given capsule collection, she has received multiple mentions and placements on Vogue.com, Marie Claire and WWD as well as Essence, Ebony and Lucky Magazine. Although incorporating African prints is part of Adeigbo’s brand DNA, she integrates other prints, textures, trims and fabrics into her design which appeals to every woman. Full of different prints and colors, each piece has a personality of its own perfect for the fashion connoisseur with a unique point-of-view. The Adeigbo brands speaks to the sophisticated, colorful, forward-thinking woman with heart.

The Fall 2012 collection continues Adeigbo’s aesthetic with spirited prints in refined silhouettes and spectacular jewelry. Click here for more information on Autumn Adeigbo.
