Last week we told you about Meagan Good landing the lead role on NBC’s drama Notorious, and now we have a few more additions to the network’s possible fall lineup.

Nene Leakes, star of Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta, has apparently landed a role on NBC’s pilot sitcom, The New Normal. The show, which is about “a blended family of a gay couple and their surrogatem” will reunite Leakes with Glee creator Ryan Murphy. Nene is set to play a character named Rocky, although we don’t have a description of her role just yet.

Former Breakout Kings star Laz Alonso is also heading to NBC to co-star with Megan Good on Notorious, NBC’s “opulent soap opera” about a detective (Good) who goes undercover in the wealthy family she grew up in. Alonso will play NYPD detective Will Sacovitch who recruits Good’s character to go undercover.

NBC also recently announced that Veteran actor Bill Cobbs will be joining Matthew Perry in the comedy Go On. Cobbs, who has starred in Night at the Museum and numerous TV roles, will play  George,  “a gentleman with a long list of life and health issues, who is in a support group with Matthew Perry’s character, Ryan.”

According to Shadow & Act, NBC Universal also signed English talk show host Trisha Goddard to host one of its newest daytime shows. Goddard’s show, simply title Trisha may follow the same drama-filled format as NBCUniversal’s other shows like Maury, however, her UK-based show was quite tame.

Check out Tricia in action, filling in for Maury:

With so many black folks popping up on fall pilots, does this mean networks are finally getting it?

Will you be tuning into any of these shows?

They will more than likely yank them after two episodes if the ratings are not through the roof. They don’t give shows much time for an audience to find them. Unless it is an all white show, then they will air it every night and on the weekends to find an audience, like Harry’s Law, that show seemed to come on every night! even though the the ratings are extremely poor. I try to find other entertainment because television sucks!!!!!!

  • All of these shows are on the NBC network and they sound rather lame. They canceled “The Playboy Club” and “Prime Suspect” for this? LULZ!!!

All the shows sound promising but I hope Ne Ne’s character is not over the top looking and sounding like something out of the 70’s. My concern with the Trish show is simply this do we really need another Maury type show on the air or is it because networks are so cheap this type of show will cause little money to produce? Let her stay on the other side of the pond. Her fellow Brit who has a show on Fox really sucks.
