“I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am in.” –  Phillipians 4:11

I admit, I’m blessed. I’m fairly even tempered and in the midst of what should be completely stressful times, I’m usually pretty calm. I also rarely get angry. Charge it to my upbringing, temperament, or zodiac sign (I’m a Gemini), either way I can usually remain calm and can find the bright side of almost any dark cloud.

But don’t get me wrong, I’ve had my fair share of challenges. Lost jobs, no money, and life-changing decisions have all come my way. And in those moments I relied on my faith to get me through. Even if you’re not religious or spiritual, you have to hold onto the belief that no matter what, you’ll be ok. And on the other side of whatever storm you’re going through, the sun will shine.

Happy Wednesday!

  • Good stuff Bitni. No matter how bad things are they could always be worse. Give thanks for what you already have. Focus on the positives.

“No matter how bad things are they could always be worse.” – Maybe so, but it doesn’t change the fact that someone is experiencing something that makes them feel discontent. Telling someone that ‘things could always be worse’ is pretty much saying that they don’t have a right to feel the way that they do and that you deem their issue insignificant.

So true! I just had to check myself the other day. I had the nerve to feel sorry for myself. Ha! I rapidly got out of that mind state. When I start to feel down about life, I keep in mind that it peaks and valleys and no matter what it can definitely be worse and other people have endured worse than me…..
