Last night, celebrities stepped out for one of the biggest fashion events of the year—the 2012 Met Ball in New York City—and they certainly did not disappoint. Check out our list of celebs who turned the Met completely out.

Givenchy and her post-baby body served her well.

    Go Solo, simply breathtaking.

Bey’s Givenchy gown was exquisite!! Avant-garde, couture at it’s absolute finest! Say what you will about her, but her shape was unreal in that dress! And the cool thing is–she’s not even back to her pre-baby weight. I would have liked the bodysuit to better match her skin tone though ideally.

I loved the shape/silhouette of Solange’s Rachel Roy canary gown. Elegant, feminine, fresh…I’m not normally a Rachel Roy fan, but this dress is well executed.

Rihanna’s Tom Ford crocodile gown was the epitome of sleek and sexy Rock n Roll glamour–I would have expected nothing less from the stylish star. However, her hair, was an epic fail. It looked uncombed, and unkempt.

I love the idea of Janelle Monae switching up her signature style, but I did not like the jumpsuit. The material and style did little for her. I wonder if it was Chanel, since they design her signature suits.

Paual Patton looked ho-hum. This is the Met Gala, the premiere fashion event of the year. Simply pretty just won’t do. Risky, High Fashion, Artistic, and Avant Garde are a must!

  • Solange has finally stepped away from Beyonces’ shadow and is embracing her natural beauty. She is quickly becoming a style icon.

I’m sorry but, to me Beyonce’s Givenchy dress was tacky, tasteless, and UGLY!!

    • Leonie UK

I have to agree, it was really tasteless. I did love the whole feathers theme that many performed on the night.

they all looked a million times better than I could.
