“Besides the noble art of getting things done, there is a nobler art of leaving things undone. The wisdom of life consists in the elimination of nonessentials.” – Lin Yutang

Yesterday I returned from a trip to the Bahamas. Although it sounds relaxing, I went with a group of bloggers at the behest of the tourism board, which meant we were going non-stop for the entire weekend. By the end of the trip, I felt miserable, and suffered from a head cold and cough. Although I had work to do, I decided to take the last night and day off and rest, which my body desperately needed.

As we work toward our goals, it’s important to fall back and get rest when you need it. Although you may feel compelled to just soldier though, your body knows what it needs and there’s no shame in honoring its request.

Listen to yourself, Clutchettes. Work hard, but don’t forget to indulge in some much-needed rest and relaxation when it’s necessary.

Happy Tuesday!
