“The starting point of all achievement is desire. Keep this constantly in mind. Weak desires bring weak results, just as a small fire makes a small amount of heat.” – Napoleon Hill

Let’s see folks. By a show of hands, how many of you have a laundry list of goals you’d like to accomplish. Go ahead, raise them high.

If you’re like me, you have about a jillion things scribbled down on paper, posted up on your wall, packed in your brain, and on random flyers in your purse. You have no shortage of ideas, no dearth of things you’d like to get done now…if only, you had the time or the money, or the gumption to just get started.

For most of us, knowing what we’d like to do isn’t the problem. It’s the doing part that throws us off. While we’d like to lose 20-pounds, or travel around the world, or pay off our debt, we never quite get it done because when it all comes down to it—we don’t really want to.

Think about it. Consider the things you really, really wanted to do in life. You know, the stuff you’d break your neck or sell a kidney for…did you do them? Are you still trying? Now, think about the stuff that would be nice to accomplish, but it doesn’t keep you up at night. Feel the difference. Sense how different you react just thinking about it.

Living our most awesome life isn’t about piling on tons and tons of things onto a never-ending to-do list. Living the life we want is about really focusing on our passions and accomplishing those goals that we absolutely cannot bear to leave undone.

Focus your attention on what you REALLY desire and it will come.

Happy Tuesday!
