You can’t help but remember LisaRaye as “Diamond” in the cult classic “The Player’s Club,” which gave an unflinchingly real look into the lives of strippers at a seedy club. The actress, who went onto star in “Single Ladies,” is going back to familiar territory with “Lapdance,” a movie about “an aspiring actress who makes a pact with her fiance to take a job as an exotic dancer to help her cancer-stricken father. Once the pact the couple made is broken, there lives are changed forever,” reports Carlton Jordan. Their relationship will undoubtedly be impacted by her new job, and it will be fascinating to see how it all plays out.

Joining LisaRaye in the film are actresses Stacey Dash (formerly of “Single Ladies,”), Lynn Whitfield and Carmen Electra. “Lapdance,” (formerly titled ‘Monica’) will screen at the ABFF Film Festival Miami in June.

Meh…if I’m bored and there’s nothing on, I might give it a try. *shrugs*

No, first of all the itch is disrespectful to my girl Lynn and that is just something I would not sit through. Tired and dried up actresses that can’t and never could act. Why would Lynn Whitfield want to be a part of this hot mess?!?!?!?!?

Baby: You are kidding with your question…..right??!! Money….why else would she agree to do a character part of this caliber. I mean I like Lynn….especially her character in A Thin Line (she really showed a range of acting). But when is the last time we’ve seen her in anything. It’s rough out here for acting parts; especially when you’re getting a little older, and she’s trying to make money just like everyone else

Not checking for Stacey Dash, but these women are so much better than this movie. They must had needed a check quickly and badly to have signed off on this.

I already knew Stacey Dash is Clueless (pun intended)….so I’m not surprised she took the part. After all she tried to jump start her movie career (again) by piggy-backing on Mitt Romney’s run for President. I wonder what the conservatives are saying now
