Nike has once again proven that it has a strong interest in LGBT issues. Last year, the company had a geo-specific release of the their pro-LGBT collection, #BeTrue, which included three pairs of shoes inspired by cities with a large gay community. Now Nike has an even larger scale release of new products that are on sale worldwide online, and appropriately launched during Gay Pride Month.
According to Esquire, profits from the sale of the #BeTrue collection will be donated to the LGBT Sports Coalition. The LGBT Sports Coalition is a group of organizations and individuals aimed at ending LGBT bias in sports by 2016.
Currently the #Betrue line features 6 products. The sneakers pictured above will cost you $115, but there are other items like t-shirts and iPhone cases that are $30 or less.
Sure the colors are a little on the bright side, but it’s for a good cause.
