Well, this is a surprise.

In the second most secret wedding in recent times (hey, Janet!), Kerry Washington, 36, reportedly wed San Francisco 49ers cornerback, Nnamdi Asomugha, 31. The two tied the knot on June 24, 2013, in Blaine, Country, Idaho, according to E! News.

Unbeknownst to her adoring fans the world over, the Vanity Fair August 2013 covergirl allegedly has been dating Asomugha since last summer. The 31 year-old three-time Pro Bowl star, who once played for the Oakland Raiders and Philadelphia Eagles, shares a passion for politics and philanthropy with Washington; he has participated in the Clinton Global Initiative every year since 2009. Asomugha, who is already affectionally being called “Brolivia Pope,” also has acting experience. The UC Berkeley grad appeared on “The Game” and “Friday Night Lights.”

This is the first marriage for the “Scandal,” star who has been notoriously mum about her personal life. If the reports are true, join us in congratulating the newly married couple!

UPDATE: POPSUGAR has reportedly obtained a copy of the pair’s marriage license, confirming the union and listing Kerry’s parents, Earl and Valerie Washington, as witnesses. Kerry’s rep declined to comment though the star tweeted she was headed out on a month-long “break” on June 19.

I am soo happy for her!! the only problem I have is some people that watch scandal (I am a HUGE scandal fan) seem to really think that something was going between her and tony Goldwyn (Fitz) the man is married ans while that means little to nothing in Hollywood, I never ever for a second thought that what the two portrayed on tv was true in real life . has anybody else noticed scandal fans crazily putting tony and Kerry together?

Yes some fools are even mad at her for getting married in real life. Other fools are made because she married a Black man not a white one.

I am beyond happy for her! I wish her and her new husband a happy, health, life long union of love. I love these types of private marriages.
