Glenn Lewis

Glenn Lewis is back. The Grammy Award nominee and Juno Award winner is preparing the release of his sophomore album Moment of Truth featuring guest appearances from Roc Nation songstress Melanie Fiona and beats by Grammy award-winning multi-platinum producers Dre & Vidal (Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, Destiny’s Child, Robin Thicke, Jill Scott) DJ Camper (Keyshia Cole, Tamar Braxton), Carvin Haggins & Ivan Barias (Musiq Soulchild, Jill Scott, Justin Timberlake, Raheem Devaughn), Certifyd (Lil Wayne, Meek Mill) and up-and-coming producers Matrax. Stand-out tracks include the island vibe tinged, “All My Love,” where Lewis teamed with fellow Toronto native Melanie Fiona for a duet that recalls the chemistry of Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell.

In 2002, Glenn Lewis took the R&B music world by storm with the release of his critically acclaimed debut album, World Outside My Window (Epic Records). The project spawned the popular singles “It’s Not Fair” and “Don’t You Forget It,” with the latter peaking at #4 on the Billboard charts, landing the new crooner on a nationwide tour with mega starlet Alicia Keys.

Moment of Truth will be released October 15th, 2013 on Ruffhouse Records, the label that brought us The Fugees and Lauryn Hill. Lewis makes a confident and dynamic return to the spotlight with the first single, “Can’t Say Love” which finds the singer inextricably caught up in a love triangle, currently #2 most added at Urban AC Radio. I used to love me some Glenn Lewis! “Don’t You Forget It” was the jam in the early 2000’s! But I honestly didn’t even know he still made music. He still looks good, and he sounds great.

The song is really nice. It’s not impressive, but most of the trash on the radio sound a million times worse than this. At least this song feels good when you listen to it. So, kudos to Glenn!

The video left something to be desired though. Am I the only one who cracked up laughing when he saw that his food was still on the table, and it was Chinese beef and broccoli?! I was like, “C’mon girl. If you want your man to come home on time for dinner, at least cook the food. Don’t just order it.”

Cant say love is tight but there are other songs on the album that I heard that are even tighter than that one. Alot of black Women are mad at the video(we all know why that is).I would say pick up the Album its a good look for R&B music. One song in particular that I believe could be a classic is one that I have heard called We go We go Down .We were listening in my buddy’s Jeep and that song was saying something !!!My lady actually started crying when she heard it and said it reminded her of our relationship..Great song Glenn Lewis cant wait to hear you live !!!!
