Many were skeptical when news first broke about the casting for “CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story.” Lil Mama and Keke Palmer didn’t seem like ideal choices to play T-Boz and Chilli, respectively.

People may sing a different tune after watching the trailer below.

From her mannerisms to her voice, Lil Mama nails Left Eye so well it will give you the chills. The clip has renewed my interest in the made-for-TV movie, also starring Drew Sidora as T-Boz, which debuts October 21 on VH1.

nope not sold. absolutely not. The woman playing TBoz i thought was the most convincing. Left Eye’s voice was softer than that. and Lil Mama’s super strong bone structure is throwing me off.
Left Eye had this high pitched raspy voice and this super sweet big eyed baby face but her verses went HARD and she could turn on this super cool swag. that was her whole thing. i just don’t see it.
and I don’t buy Keke at all either. not terrible but also not good.

From what the trailer shows, it’s ok I guess. I won’t go as far as to say that the casting is spot on…..but the girls do great impressions…..

I am concerned more with the story and how they act out the drama that happened with TLC and all of that. I hope the whole movies isn’t just them doing impressions of T-Boz, Chili and Left Eye in thier videos and performances. I’ll watch, but I was a hard TLC fan so I know I’m going to be critical. We shall see

I’m surprised Keke’s makeover wasn’t as close as I expected her to get with looking like Chili, but I bet they had a blast recreating all those music videos.

  • I wasn’t impressed by that trailer but I’ll still give it a chance

I can’t wait to see this….I loved TLC so this will be a bittersweet movie to watch. I do however felt that Drew should’ve played Chilli and Keke Palmer as TBoz…oh well just my opinion but I will watch.
