CBS knows exactly what they’re doing.

They’re successfully profitting off of racism and it doesn’t care about anything else but ratings.  Now in its 15th season, Big Brother has shown more than one houseguest making racist comments to other contestants on the show.

Jezebel compiled a list that could be titled, “Shit Racist Big Brother Contestants Say” and of course, it’s all from the white contestants directed towards the 3 minorities, one Asian and two African-American.

Most recently, Aaryn’s wrath was focused on Candice as she flipped over her mattress. After warning her not to flip her mattress again,  Aaryn responded back in a ‘black’ accent mocking Candice.

“Whatchu gon’ do gurl…whatchu gon’ do? Class girl. Where’s yo class?” Aaryn mocked.

And not to be outdone by her friend, GinaMarie Zimmerman (oh the irony of that last name) piped in with more racism.

As Candice was getting worked up, GinaMarie confronted her saying: “You want the black to come out?”

What does CBS decide to do? It slaps a huge disclaimer before the show airs.  If they really cared about the racist attitudes displayed by the contestants, they would evict them from the house.

“At times, the Houseguests may reveal prejudices and other beliefs that CBS does not condone,” the disclaimer read. “Views or opinions expressed by a houseguest are those of the individuals speaking and do not represent the views or opinions of CBS. Viewer discretion is advised.”

CBS, I see you. You’re not slick. Keep on enabling the racists and sitting back hoping one of the contestants will physically retaliate. More ratings, more ratings.

I hope Aaryn and GinaMarie know they’ve already lost thier jobs. Thier employers have already let them go for thier ignorance on the show……..huge surprise for them when they get out of the house!

I was a fan on Big Brother until this. I watched more than 5 season since the show originally aired and have had my problems with the fact that they always cast one minority to represent each group every summer (one or two Blacks, one Asian, one gay, etc.). Also that steadily since the show begun it’s been more geared towards casting “hot” White ppl that look good in bathing suits than about your average Joe or Joanna. This is defiitely the “straw that broke the camel’s back” for me. When i heard about this a few weeks ago I immediately stopped watching and will never tune in again. I believe CBS should’ve expelled them from the house and found two new contestants to take thier place (actually 3 becaus Spencer said some choice words about Blacks and made unfavorable remarks about Hitler as well so he needs to go too). It was thier time to put up or shut up, but in favor of a ratings boost, they showed thier true colors and decided to ignore this racist foolishness.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: White ppl are feeling really threatened by us right now and all of these recent acts of bigotry, racism and prejudice by them against us is just evidence of Whites trying to put us in “our place”. They’re trying to let us know, “Hey Black ppl, we’re still better than you. I don’t care if a Black family is in the White House, I don’t care that more of you are attending college, I don’t care that you are getting more recognition in the media than you used to. Don’t forget, you’re still Black!” They feel threatened at the thought that we are making real progress. We haven’t gotten there yet, but they fear we will. That’s where all this shit comes from. And CBS ought to be ashamed that they are still letting these dumbasses continue to compete for prize money in the show. As if they deserve some kind of reward for thier behavior. Smh

You want to stop this mess, go after the producers. Identify the people who put this show together, the concept and the execution. CBS as a corporation is one thing, but going after those “behind the scenes” is even more important as they are the ones making the decisions on a day to day basis about the direction of the show and how it plays out. Start suing individuals for promoting racism and you will get better results because then you got individual reputations on the line versus a nameless corporate face. And even more importantly demand better from the coon behind negroes who are on the network and don’t even challenge this mess. You had 3 black hosts on entertainment tonight one episode and not one of them even came off as being outraged over this as black people. Not one. And we know that is all scripted. So what about off the set? Not only do we need to hold the larger society responsible but also our own folks who should be using their power in entertainment to call out this nonsense and put a stop to it.

But then again that would work if you actually had a people to begin with.
