Caution: If you ever jotted down a few cool ways to quit your job, then this story may just prompt you to make an exit strategy NOW.

Marina Shifrin is the woman behind the comedic “I QUIT” Youtube video that caught the attention of millions. It’s the most simplistic and brilliant “f#ck you” many of us have ever seen and apparently, Queen Latifah liked her style just as much. The new prime time talk show host invited the YouTube star to talk about her popular clip. During their one on one, Latifah proceeds to offer her a J-O-B!

Yup, Shifrin hasn’t been jobless for more than 2 weeks and was offered a position to be digital content producer for the talk show.

In the video, Marina is dancing freely to a fitting Kanye record with captions taking hilarious shots at her boss of a big time New Media Animation company.

“I work for an awesome company that makes news videos. I have put my life into this job, but my boss says quantity, speed and views are what is most important. I believe it’s more important to focus on the quality of the content. When you learn to improve this, the views will come. Here is a little video I made explaining my feelings.”

Here is a clip of the interview with Queen Latifah:

It’s pretty much the perfect moment and fairytale ending. It pays to be hardworking and completely fearless! All i can say is… GO GIRL!

Could you ever make a video like that to your boss, Clutchettes?

So people seriously can’t be happy for a person, just because they’re white? Or just because you feel that a black person wouldn’t have receive the same treatment?

    Sad, so sad.

    • First off, that is not the way to leave any job. Even if the boss is an @sshole, even if your pay was late, even if co-workers took time out to abuse you and the company did nothing on your behalf.

When a person has to suddenly resign, it is no joke or anything trivial. They may need time to get their head together before sending out resumes or networking.

This type of thing is what a teen does when they leave their job at the mall or fast food restaurant, meaning there may not be any serious repercussions as they will go on to real careers later. Anyone else can consider what this lady did career suicide and in this economy, it may not be so easy to bounce back…regardless of race or gender.

I can’t believe race was brought into this. Although this is pure LUCK, I would kill to have a moment like this at my own job lol. Doesn’t mean that I’ll be rewarded for it, but sometimes having that fearless moment feels great in itself. I could care less that she’s white, the video was hilarious and she pretty much took another bold step in asking for a job to queen latifah. i enjoyed this!

Get out of your emotions ladies!

    • In this economy, people should be grateful for their jobs. I’m sure there are plenty more willing to work who are standing in line for the position she left.

Everyone wants to be an Internet star and get rewarded for it. It’s not about “emotions.” It’s about the fact that White folks get away with things many Blacks could not. What’s more, they get rewarded for it. That’s the issue at hand.
