33-year-old medical resident, Teleka Patrick was last seen on the evening of December 5th when she was dropped off at her car in the parking lot of the Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo, MI. Her abandoned gold Lexus was later found in a ditch off westbound I-94 near Portage, Indiana. Her family is asking for prayers and help in any form we can provide it.
#findTeleka is beginning to go viral. Family and friends are requesting we continue to share this hashtag on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and change our profile pictures to hers along with information regarding her disappearance.
A “Find Teleka” Facebook page has been started with information and updates regarding the search.
As of today, over $14,000 have been raised on gofundme.com. 100% of the donations contributed will go exclusively towards efforts to find Teleka including the retention of a private investigator and a $10,000 reward.
In addition to local news outlets, Teleka’s story is on CNN’s iReport. More votes are needed to get it aired nationally on CNN.
Her family and friends are canvassing the states of Indiana, Michigan, and Illinois with missing persons flyers. If anyone living in those states, especially in Portage, Indiana and surrounding cities, would like to help by passing out flyers in their local area, they can email [email protected] for copies.
Anyone with information regarding her disappearance is requested to call the Kalamazoo Sheriff’s Department at (269) 383-8821 (Option 6)
