It seems as quick as Paula Deen resurfaced from her last scandal, the southern fried chicken belle can’t keep her  foot out of her mouth.  In a recent with People Magazine, the former food network cook, compared herself to Michael Sam.

“I feel like ‘embattled’ or ‘disgraced’ will always follow my name,” Deen reportedly told People.“It’s like that black football player who recently came out. He said, ‘I just want to be known as a football player. I don’t want to be known as a gay football player.’ I know exactly what he’s saying”.

Paula, no. Some people may consider you closer to the people persecuting Sam for being gay, since you like to throw around the “n” word in your spare time. God only knows how many other derogatory terms you’ve used in your life time.

In the interview, which will hit stands on Friday, Deen also apologized for her behaviour.

“It’s amazing that some people are given passes and some people are crucified,” Deen was quoted as saying. “I have new empathy for these situations, though. My dad always told me, ‘Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear.’”

The passes she’s speaking of were in regards to the Duck Dynasty scandal and Phil Robertson’s brief suspension.

Let’s see how long before Paula has another slip of the tongue.

Woe is you, Paula. Woe is you. Go wade in a vat of butter at your new $20 million restaurant.
