Today is Fat Tuesday, the last day to revel Mardi Gras celebrations before Ash Wednesday, which marks the beginning of the Christian celebration of Lent.

Tonight, partiers will hit the streets across the country donning masks, dancing to second line bands, collecting beads, and eating King cake to partake in a tradition that stretches back to at least the 17th Century in America (and even further to Medieval Europe).

While the biggest Mardi Gras celebration in the U.S. goes down in New Orleans, folks across the country from Los Angeles to Boston will be letting the good times roll.

How about you? Will you be celebrating Mardi Gras tonight?

No…Well I guess I’ll have a mini celebrating when I walk out my workplace today.

Maybe if it wasn’t less than 40 degrees and raining throughout Louisiana. I’ll be taking a raincheck and hitting Bourbon street on Saturday. Won’t be the same, but the good times will roll none the less.
