Period Sex

Step away from the cell phone after sex.

Don’t even think about taking a post coital photo.

Sharing is not always caring.

I’m not sure how many other ways I can say it, but there’s a new trend on social media, particularly Instagram, that proves once again, certain people should not have access to mobile devices and wifi.

The latest photo craze on the internet is now #AfterSex selfies, which is exactly what it sounds like. First of all, who touches their phone after sex? Have you seen where your hands have been?  Second of all, gross.

If you’d like a good laugh or are into that sort of thing, browse through the feed on Instagram (NSFW), and you’ll see the over-sharers in action. There’s tousled hair and post orgasmic smiles.  In a world obsessed with posting selfies, which has been described as narcissism, this latest trend is just a bit much.

We get it. You’re having sex. Good for you. But taking a photo after you’re done, should be the last thing on your mind. I don’t know about the rest of the world, but the only thing I’d rather worry about is round 2.

  • I’m so sick of the oversharing time that we are living in. Who the hell would think to take a picture after sex? Why would anyone want to see what you look like after sex? I am so sick of people thinking that they are so important that people care to see everything they are doing. I am so sick of the word “selfie” it sounds like something a dumb teenager would say.

      I SOOOO agree with you.

Also, may I add to the list of juvenile words: selfie, preggers, preggo, and baby bump.

I didn’t even know about this. Smh. People have no class. I don’t need to know you just had sex. No one needs to know. No one values modesty and privacy. Then they want to complain about the NSA. PLUS if I’m awake after sex to even think about taking a picture, he didn’t hit it right.

Oh my…that last line made me laugh. Real talk. :-)

Youtube, Instagram, Twitter, and all the other social media have created an environment for everyday average people to show off what they feel is important. Women are now sharing their breastfeeding pictures all in the name of “awareness” (rolling eyes) and now this. I’m not against breastfeeding, but I think showing pictures to the world is unnecessary. Sorry, I digressed. It’s kinda sad that people are so desperate for attention that they make fools of themselves with “after sex” pictures like people really give a rat’s behind. Some things are just private and personal. JMO.

Social media will be the downfall of humanity as we know it. It’s created a generation of narcissistic idiots.

    • Noirluv45

      You got that right, Mommiedearest!

  • People actually take after sex selfies? What is the world coming to? What happened to intimate, personal moments?

Besides like another poster said if I’m awake after the deed is done, he didn’t do it right!

  • Somebody

    Wait. People do this?!

I’m too busy trying to find a snack or go back to sleep after sexy-time.
