So it seems certain individuals will no longer be “sippin’ on some sizzurp” because the manufacturer has snatched it off the shelves.
“Given [recent media attention], Actavis has made the bold and unprecedented decision to cease all production and sales of its Promethazine Codeine product,” an Actavis rep tells TMZ.
Too bad for those who really need it.
“This attention has glamorized the unlawful and dangerous use of the product, which is contrary to its approved indication,” the rep adds.
Before the Actavis announcement, the street value of a pint bottle hovered around $800, and now rappers are allegedly offering ridiculous amounts – up to $100,000 – to buy whatever’s still available.
And on Monday, Soulja Boy Instagrammed a photo of six bottles with the caption “Soulja got the juice. They say the streets dry. I say you gotta be kiddin me. I serve everybody.”
See, he’s itching for a stickup for some sizzurp.
