I wish someone had told me that Vanessa Stiviano, the mistress of L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling, was going to appear on ABC’s 20/20 with Barbara Walters Friday night, especially since Barbara asks all the good questions!

When Walters asks her if she thinks Sterling should apologize, Stiviano replies, “Yes. Absolutely.”

But Stiviano tells Walters that Sterling is “emotionally traumatized” by the whole fiasco, or more like because the world heard what he said. “He’s hurting,” she says.

Stiviano doesn’t think Sterling is a racist, though. Feel free to side eye her view of a racist.

“I think Mr. Sterling is from a different generation than I am. I think he has brought up to believe these things…segregation, whites, and blacks,” Stiviano says. “But through his actions, he’s shown that he’s not a racist. He’s shown to be a very generous and kind man.”

I wondered if Stiviano fell into that cliché of being blinded by love, but she says she isn’t in love with him, in a roundabout way.

“I love him like a father figure,” she says.

Meanwhile, Sterling is just hoping for his chance to sit down and tell his side with the interview legend. He tells DuJour magazine that he’s limiting himself to interviews with Barbara Walters and the NBA. But he did express “remorse for the way his situation has unfurled” and his thoughts on Stiviano releasing the audio footage of his racist tirade to TMZ.

“I wish I had just paid her off,” Sterling says.

I think this is a case of self-hatred and gold-digging all wrapped in a small box. It seems that V Stiviano is trying to get ahead on her looks alone. She’s not willing to put in the work to make her own money. It seems that she’d rather do that on her back or off the back of others. This article on the Daily Mail seems to confirm that: If you look at her highschool picture in the article, she was actually naturally pretty, but she’s apparently had surgery to get as far away from her Black and Mexican roots as possible.

While I don’t like the way she is living her life, and I really think she needs therapy to deal with her self-hatred and also her willingness to sell her body and morals to the highest bidder despite his marriage status and despicable beliefs, I blame the dynamic between wealthy men and ratchet women on the men themselves.

It seems that men with money are all about how women look. They figure they’ve achieved a certain level in their career and they deserve a woman who looks a certain way. However, they rarely go beyond the physical and choose a woman with a brain or her own ability to make money in a career that doesn’t involve a stripper pole or a sex act on video.

Given what I’ve seen on reality TV and the internet, it seems we’re teaching our girls, esp. our black girls, that their worth is tied to their looks or the size of their butts and what’s between their legs. There’s no need to educate themselves to support themselves financially, because a “baller” will magically take care of all their needs. It’s all about the cars, the mansions, the trips, the bars, etc. I think certain women today will sell their souls for the good life. Even if a man is a total waste of space, they’ll go out with him because of his wallet. V. Stiviano is the perfect example of this.

Wow. I clicked the link, and before she had the surgery she favored Nicki Minaj. She was already pretty, she did not need to change her looks.

Maybe this is what she kept referencing on the audio recordings. Sterling kept saying that he thought she was going to have something removed. It must have been something that made Stiviano appear more like a person of color in his mind.

In the Barbara Walters interview they also said that she changed her name to distance herself from race, yet on the link you provided she is clearly hanging out frequently with Karrine Stephens.

This Stiviano person is really, really confused about who she is.

Good point. I think that the reason these men go after these type of women is because they each don’t have to put in much work as people who are looking for real love. The men pick “birds” because these chicks are easily impressed/distracted with money and the lavish lifestyle so these men who are douche bags will always look like the king. Meanwhile these women who want a cushy lifestyle only have to just look pretty and do whatever these men want sexually.

That’s a [email protected] shame. She kind of favored Nicki Minaj. What type of parents did this woman have, she was beautiful, now she looks Phvcked up? It’s hard to believe that is the same woman from the cap and gown photo.

    • Nonya Bizness

I thought she favored Nikki as well. I don’t think it’s her though. How did she go from looking like that, to looking Cambodian? She doesn’t look any more Black&Mexican than I do, and I’m White lol.

    • shesblack

i’m cambodian and this v stiviano chick is obviously black/black admixed, white girl

  • ashleydark

the elevator aint going all the way to the top

  • constance

Side note, am I the only one who thinks this person looks Asian ?

    • Ada Niemand

No, you are not. I think she looks Southeast Asian–Cambodian or Laotian maybe.

    • Kema

      Yea… Just like Lil Kim.

    • Nonya Bizness

Uh, No. I’ve been saying since day one she’s Cambodian. Now, she just “adopted” 2 boys, who just so happen to be Cambodian and Black. Either they’re her kids from when she was a male, or their a relatives kids-a Cambodian relative.

    • shesblack

well yeah, cambodians generally tan better and some of us dont need collagen lip implants like most white ppl do

cambodians only been in the US for 30 years or so and compared to other ethnic asian groups even certain hispanic groups like mexicans/central americans, we cambodians generally have friendlier relationships with african-americans

also, there is generally no resentment from the african-american community towards cambodians since we dont have a long history of enslaving, opressing, beating, torturing, raping or killing eachother
