Don’t get me wrong. Christian Bale is fine as f*ck. But a Moses he is not.

Just look at all of these white people in Ridley Scott’s new movie, “Exodus: Gods and Kings”, which tells the story of Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt.

Oh, I can spot some color in the background.

Can someone please tell me why are there so many white people in Egypt?

Oh sh*t, I see a black arm in that photo. Oh, he’s a slave though.

Sorry Bale, as fine as you are, I have no plans on seeing you whitewash good Ole Moses.

By the way,  the top actors in the movie are all white:

Aaron Paul Aaron Paul
Christian Bale Christian Bale
Sigourney Weaver Sigourney Weaver
Joel Edgerton Joel Edgerton
John Turturro John Turturro
Ben Kingsley Ben Kingsley

Another Hollywood fail.

Charleston Heston played Moses in the “Ten Commandments” with Yul Brynner, Anne Baxter, Edward G Robinson, Debra Paget Yvonne DeCarlo and John Derek. People loved this movie in 1956.. They could have used Lena Horne, Dorothy Dandridge, Ruby Dee or Pearl Bailey as the females and Rex Ingram, Ossie Davis, Sidney Poitier, Harry Belafonte, Ivan Dixon or Henry Marshall as the male leads. Interestingly I had one woman tell me what Moses’ wife looked like. I had explained to her that these were people of color. My argument was Bible based. She was so adamant that I asked her what her source was. She responded that she had seen “The Ten Commandments!” This was in 1993. Some people actually believe what the entertainment media portrays is reality.

“Some people actually believe what the entertainment media portrays is reality.”

And people have the nerve to whine about why diversity in media should matter.

Thank you its a tool of revisionist history which is why when our real life stories are being whitewashed talking up about IS important as thats what’s stuck in peoples mind as the truth
Do you remember the Bible based movie Jesus Christ Super Star as a child many “don’t know any better colonized ” pastors used to have it shown at church.Though it was set in biblical times there was ONLY one black character guess who ” Judas” of course

When black folks stop being happy to be token Negroes in entertainment and start creating an entertainment industry of their own that includes the US, the continent and the diaspora this will cease.
