Bill Cosby is in the crossfire and it seems like everyone connected to him in any way is abandoning ship. After weeks of enduring growing allegations of rape, most of the projects that were in the pipeline are most likely going to remain inactive indefinitely.
His scheduled appearances on talk shows have been cancelled and now Netflix just announced that they are putting the new stand-up comedy special the comedian was planning to unleash on his birthday on hold.
TV critics had speculated that Netflix might decide to go ahead and move forward with the special if things simmered down, but no such luck. More women are coming forward to share their ordeal including model Janice Dickinson.
At this point anyone or anything associated with the Cosby will end up paying a heavy price. As the accusations mount against the comedian, his reluctance to confirm or deny is clearly not helping to mend his fractured reputation.
Cosby’s spokesman, David Brokaw confirmed Netflix’s decision to postpone the special – “My client says that he is in agreement with Netflix”.
Meanwhile the sitcom Cosby is helping NBC develop remains in limbo and will probably remain there until a miracle occurs.
