Mo’ne Davis has had one hell of a year and we couldn’t be more happy for her. Sports Illustrated Kids has named the Little League baseball star its ‘Sports Kid of the Year.’

The 13-year-old honor roll student and Philly native garnered major recognition after leading the Taney Dragons to a 4-0 victory over Nashville, Tennessee in August. She is also the first girl to win a Little League World Series game.

Sports Illustrated Kids says Davis shows that everyone has the ability to make an impact and inspire no matter age, gender or race.

FLOTUS sent Mo’ne a congratulatory messages via Twitter:

Davis’ hometown Philadelphia Phillies also sent their congratulations as well.
