Dove Hair has launched a new campaign to help celebrate, inspire and encourage both women and girls with curly hair to love their curls.

The ‘Love Your Curls’ #loveyourcurls initiative aims on encouraging young girls of all backgrounds to be proud of their curly hair.

‘Love Your Curls’ campaign and film, which encourages women to celebrate, love and take pride in their curly hair. The ‘Love Your Curls’ film draws on a selection of unique stories that powerfully illustrate the relationship young girls have with their curls. As little girls, many struggle to accept their curls and wish they could change their curly hair to straight. Ultimately, the film reveals that if women with curly hair begin to celebrate all the things they love about their curls, young girls will be inspired to do the same. In fact, Dove Hair found that little girls are seven times more likely to love their curls if people around them do.


In a recent global study commissioned by Dove Hair, they found one in three women in the US have wavy to curly hair; however ‘straight, sleek’ hair is often portrayed as the traditional standard of beauty. Plus..

  • Only 4 in 10 girls with curly hair think that their hair is beautiful
  • Little girls are 7X more likely to love their curls if people around them do

If women show the world just how much they love their hair, they will positively impact the next generation to do the same.”
