Angie Stone was arrested on Monday and placed in a Dekalb County jail after striking her daughter with a metal stand.  In typical he-said-she-said fashion, the police report has two different versions of what happened. Stone said her daughter, Diamond, hit her in the face first with a closed fit.

According to Diamond, the fight started when Stone told her to get control of her kids who were running around the house half-naked.

“Ms. Diamond Stone then went on to state that Ms. Angie Stone started (getting) in her face, telling her she needed to leave because she is tired (of) her,” police said in the report. “Ms. Diamond Stone then stated her and Ms. Angie Stone started to argue, and that’s when a physical altercation started to occur.”

Stone told the police that she didn’t realize she hit her daughter and knocked her teeth out.

“Once she realized this,” police said in the report, “she quickly put the stand down and attempted to get away from Ms. Diamond Stone. Ms. Angie Stone then stated while she tried to get away, Ms. Diamond Stone continued to come after her as if to strike her again but stated that Ms. Blondy Chisolm came to break up the fight.”

Although Stone was charged with domestic aggravated assault, Diamond did not receive any charges.

How much you want to bet even after this blow up the adult daughter with her kids/husband will still be living in Angie’s house? Sad situation for Ms. Stone.

  • Certainly, the family needs counseling. A daughter with some of her teeth gone represents that something is going on in the family. I don’t know all of the story, but there certainly need to be a clearing up of what precisely occurred. This situation probably transpired because of escalating tensions between Angie Stone and her daughter.

EMPATHETIC towards Ms. Angie Stone — Mama’s ALWAYS Right, even if she isn’t. This could be my story playing out in the national spotlight if not for realizing ability to give birth would not automatically equip me with good parenting skills.
