Breakout actress Lupita Nyong’o has been on the fast track ever since her Oscar-Award winning performance in 2013’s  ’12 Years A Slave’ and now she’s headed to conquer Broadway.

Making her NYC stage debut this fall, Lupita will appear in the premiere NYC production of “Eclipsed,” which “follows a group of women who are the captive wives of a rebel officer, and what happens when a new woman arrives,” according to Variety.

Lupita will take on the role just ahead of her next big screen appearance in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.  Keeping a steady pace on her acting career, Lupita is also slated to try her hand at animated film with a starring role in the 2016 remake of The Jungle Book as the voice of Raksha

In between wowing audiences on-screen, Lupita has been busy dazzling red carpets and snagging lucrative endorsement deals as her blossoming career continues to flourish. We can’t wait to catch her Broadway debut and see what else she has in store for 2015!

Her role in Star Wars is not that major from what I’ve read. From all that Oscar Buzz to Broadway and animated movies.

Alfre Woodard called it anyway. Also the difference in her career trajectory and Margot Robie’s who got 1/2 the buzz she did around the same time says it all. Margot even had a leading role alongside a major black male movie star. LOL Oh Hollywood. She’s doing quite well for a black actress though (just being honest) and she’s still a beautiful, graceful and inspiring woman. That will be her true legacy.
