Charnesia Corley, a 21-year-old black woman who was on her way to the store to pick up medicine for her sick mother, is the latest victim of overzealous policing. A Houston cop thought he smelled weed in Corley’s car, but when he searched and couldn’t find any, he called for a female officer to come to the gas station where Corley was being held so she could have her vagina searched. They arrested Corley because she objected to having her vagina examined in a gas station parking lot.

From KRTK:

“She tells me to pull my pants down. I said, ‘Ma’am, I don’t have any underwear on.’ She says, ‘Well, that doesn’t matter. Pull your pants down,'” Corley said.

She admits hesitating. Deputies say she resisted.

“I bend over and she proceeds to try to force her hand inside of me. I tell her, ‘Ma’am, No. You cannot do this,'” Corley told us candidly.

She insists at no time did she give consent for any such search. She’s retained an attorney, Sam Cammack, who argues that a search like this in a public parking lot is a violation of her civil rights.

From Houston Chron:

When the female deputy arrived, she told Corley to pull her pants down, but Corley protested because she was cuffed and had no underwear on. The deputy ordered Corley to bend over, pulled down her pants and began to search her.

Then, according to [Corley’s attorney, Sam] Cammack, Corley stood up and protested, so the deputy threw her to the ground and restrained her while another female was called in to assist. When backup arrived, each deputy held one of Corley’s legs apart to conduct the probe.

KTRK-TV reports deputies found 0.02 ounces of marijuana on Corley, but did not say from where.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said its deputies acted appropriately.

Looks like Texas cops have a history of raping women in this manner, they also did the same thing to two White women a few years ago and I was as sickened about that. How do you even tell someone to disrobe while they are handcuffed, and WTF was she restrained for anyway?! There are probably a lot more victims who are embarrassed to report these assaults on their bodies and minds. Some women are traumatized by gyn exams in a pristine doctor’s office, I can’t imagine the terror of my body being publicly violated by these savages. Ms. Corley is brave for telling this, sending positive spirit her way.

Another site says Texas lawmakers note that anal and cavity searches without warrants are ILLEGAL, and even they have no idea how they keep getting away with it-especially in public like this. The faces of these cops should be plastered all over, they are male and female rapists and should be branded so. i would not be surprised if some unhinged person starts retaliating against these demons.

    • Exactly.

You know something else, truth, this whole ‘resisting arrest’ default bull needs to be addressed on a national stage also. Cops should have justifiable cause to arrest someone, and in this case initially the rapists said she ‘consented to the search’. The message board where I read this was all ‘who the hell is going to AGREE with being publicly raped?!’. Now the cops are saying she ‘resisted arrest’. So which is it–did she agree to have two sociopath rabid bitches (bitch in the original meaning, i can only see out of control animals attacking like this) while their overseer directed them, or did she resist arrest–and what was she being arrested for. Telling you, they are going to attack the wrong person one day.

    • I agree. A woman being raped has nothing to with resisting arrest. This terrible incident is about an innocent black woman being sexually abused by morally deprived people. She was sexually assaulted by 2 disgusting cops. Some cops use the “resisting arrest” phrase as a scheme for them to abuse the human rights of people. Only a total evil person would equate resisting arrest to rape. Also, I have noticed that police department there is in full support of the rapists. So, that department is a disgrace to defend those 2 rapists. We all support the Sister’s actions in making that those rapists are in prison and the police department should be sued.

agreed; it’s a terrible violation of their civil liberties. Just repulsive & sickening that they can do it and not be held accountable for it. I hope she gets a HUGE payday behind this b.s.

All over America white cops assault black women, and generally black more than white, same as men. I don’t know why you brought up the female white case like it happens nearly as much. This is another case of sexism and racism (what you guys call mysogynoir) but you bedwenches never call it such when a white man is involved. I wonder why?

For a pathetically small amount of weed. Not even an ounce.

utterly ridiculous, it’s like everyday law enforcement reaches an all time low in the south/midwest/west/east. I hold my breath every time i click on a blog, SMDH!
