Ethan Couch, known as ‘Affluenza Teen’, has been caught in Mexico, after fleeing Texas and violating his probation. Couch, who comes from a wealthy family, killed four people while drunk driving and was sentenced to only 10 years probation in 2013.
Ethan and his mother, Tonya Couch, 48, disappeared more than 2 weeks ago, and the Tarrant County, Texas, placed the teen on its Most Wanted list.
Law enforcement officials said Couch was apprehended in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. According to CNN, Couch was with his mother and would be turned over to the U.S. Marshals Service.
Earlier this month, a video was released showing Couch in violation of his probation, while playing beer pong. After the video made it to social media, it prompted Tarrant County to investigate Couch, and it also came out that Couch had missed several meetings with his probation officer.
Prosecutors say Couch could be incarcerated for up to 10 years for violating his probation terms.
